Transformation Assistant Financial Controller/AnalystLocation - Leamington SpaDuration - 12 Month FTC Date Rate - Up to £195 per day A unique role requiring an individual to raise purchase orders, CAPEX requisitions, deal with invoice queries/authorisations, manage contractor accruals/prepayment combined with extracting and analysing transaction data during the month end (3 day) closure process. This role is neither a purchase order processing role nor a management accounting role but a hybrid. It would suit a part qualified accountant who would be comfortable with raising purchase orders, CAPEX requisitions and resolving invoice queries and isn't afraid of detail. The person must me adaptable and comfortable with proactively interacting with the wider transformation programme teams and project financial leads. Working hours are from 8am to 5pm; however, there would be an expectation that additional hours are worked particularly around month end. The four main areas of responsibility are as follows: Responsibilities 1. Month end routeExtract the P&L transaction data from Hyperion and analysis in a format consistent with month end reporting;Summarise the data in a format consistent with Group reporting requirements; andComplete this process during a 3 day monthly closure process. 2. Prepare prepayments and accrualsEmail day rate contractors to determine the number of days worked in the month;Review year to date costs and determine the month end prepayment and accrual requirements; andCirculate to finance leads for review and sign off. 3. Raising of purchase orders and CAPEX requisitionsEnsure the correct authorisation has been obtained;Check with the Transformation Financial Controller that costs can be taken by the transformation programme;Raise the purchase order and issue to suppliers once internal approvals are received; andMaintain hard copy files supporting the purchase order authorisation process which could be subject to internal and external audit. 4. Proactive query resolution and invoice authorisationPurchase orders will need to be reviewed by the Transformation Financial Controller before they are raised. Review points will need clearing with finance leads/operations;When invoices are received they will need distributing to operations for authorisation prior to acceptance on the system; andProactive management of finance/operations leads expectations as to when purchase orders will be raised and invoiced are likely to be approved.
