The opportunity

A PE backed $150m revenue supply chain/ logistics software company is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Development/ M&A expert to join the business and set up the M&A function from scratch. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to step into the Private Equity world and been exposed to a range of deals in the software/ SaaS and supply chain space.

The role

This role will be reporting directly to the CEO and work alongside the CFO on financial matters of the deals. This is a sole contributor role who will have one analyst support from the PE investor to work on financial modelling and due diligence of deals. This is a broad role and involves been involved from an end-to-end deal process; from mapping targeted companies, called calls and approaches, presenting the deals to the board, due diligence processes, negotiating and deals closure and post-acquisition integration.

The requirements

The ideal candidate would have a business or finance background and education with at least 5 years of experience in M&A.Experience in the supply chain sector and experience managing international deals are highly advantageous.The role requires experience managing and working with third party advisors, including financial advisors, law firms, accounting firms and other consultants and advisors.Preferably, this candidate will have a strong understanding of SaaS technologies, B2B partnerships, software referrals and reselling agreements combined with previous experience in a Business Development or Corporate Development Role.
