Group Financial Accountant

Elevation Accountancy & Finance currently have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and fully qualified Financial Accountant for a successful service business in Nottingham. You will work across a broad range of areas in both statutory reporting and management reporting of balance sheet, capex and cash flow at a Group level.

This will be a varied position, working as part of the financial reporting team within a busy and large finance team. You will support the monthly consolidation process and assist in delivering the below EBIT, balance sheet, capex and cash flow sections of the Global Management Report. You will also support the preparation of the statutory results and provide advice to the regional finance teams on the application of Group financial accounting policies across the business. This role will provide insight into the entire global business and exposure to key stakeholders across all regions.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

- Support the regional and local finance teams through the monthly group reporting requirements and consolidation process
- Contribute to the delivery of a high quality, accurate and insightful global & regional commentary
- Support the preparation of statutory results and year-end process including preparing notes and leading the auditors through these sections
- Support the completion of the year-end statutory Q&A pack
- Assist in the accounting for and integration of smaller acquisitions made by the Group
- Support the development of the Group Financial Reporting Systems
- Provide ad-hoc guidance on accounting queries from the regional teams
- Assist with the group operating cash flow and capex forecasting and budgeting process
- Monitor and review global intercompany mismatch and support company-wide adherence to global intercompany policy


To be considered for this role you MUST have the following:

- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA) with strong technical skills and academics, including a degree
- Experience of statutory reporting in listed entities and knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
- Demonstrate a rigorous, organised and thorough approach to your work, with particular attention to high quality reporting
- Be an excellent communicator with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels across the business
- Great organisational skills, with the capability to deliver in a time-pressured environment, whilst managing multiple work-streams
- Team player
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of Hyperion financial reporting systems or equivalent desirable but not essential
