Private client personal tax opportunity with Top 10 Firm in Salisbury- ATT or CTA ideal

Your new firm
You will be working for a Top 10 Firm in their Salisbury office which now has 10 partners and over 70 staff providing a unique blend of business and personal financial services including pensions and financial planning and advice on personal tax and trusts to a wide variety of sectors.

Your new role
The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the annual tax compliance work is completed and planning opportunities are identified and delivered for a portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Client compliance work and you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients which may including sole traders, partners, HNWIs, non UK domiciliaries, partnerships, non-residents and trusts. You will be ensuring administration of the portfolio is completed including all aspects of compliance, accounts, tax returns and tax computations and ensuring all beneficial elections and claims are made.
  • Client planning work identifying possible planning possibilities and preparing reports for clients
  • Yearly routine checks and compliance
  • Training and personal development of trainees including reviewing work and providing feedback


What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be ATT or CTA qualified, or working towards this with significant experience gained within a professional services firm in private tax compliance and ideally some exposure to planning/advisory work.
Ideally your experience will include technical knowledge will include CGT, IHT and business tax aspects. Non-resident, non-domicile and partnership experience will be useful but not essential
You will have excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to write letters explaining complicated planning issues as well as verbal communication skills.
You will be computer literate using a range of applications/programmes ideally including Digita software and have the ability to work independently and also be a team player.
