Management Accounts Assistant

We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a growing and dynamic team based in Macclesfield. Working in a fast paced environment, you will need to possess strong communication skills, and good Excel skills. This role is a 9 month contract to assist with an increased workload due to company acquisition and is an excellent opportunity for candidates to build and expand on their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

*Portfolio of circa 80-100 accounts
*Production of profit and loss accounts ensuring contract terms are correctly reflected
*Account Reconciliations - ensure Site Balance sheets accurately state assets and liabilities.
*Processing accruals and prepayments
*Account analysis and actual to budget variance commentary
*Periodic contract review of terms and comparison to accounting
*Ensure client invoices are accurate according to P&L information
*Liaise with operational staff to understand performance of units
*Provide financial support and assistance to the business where required
*Site visits to review/understand processes, where required
*Checking and monitoring site bookwork system for errors
*Scope for training sites on use of Site bookwork system
*Ad hoc projects & analysis

Ideally you will:
Be AAT Qualified or by experience to a similar level
Have previous experience of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, accruals & prepayments, accounts analysis and actual to budget commentary.
Be willing to take on ad-hoc project work
Be able to work in a fast paced environment and be accurate with sound attention to detail
Possess strong communication skills
Strong Excel experience is advantageous but not essential
