Our client, a hugely exciting global SME digital media company, are seeking a Financial Controller to bolster the finance Function and report directly to the CEO.
This represents an incredible opportunity as it is envisaged this role will lead to a Finance Director role within 2-3 years and crucially you get to learn straight off an inspirational CEO.
You will be a qualified accountant with minimum 2 years PQE and phenomenal communication skills.

Job Description
Working closely with senior management/Board members on a range of ad-hoc projects (e.g. cost v benefit analysis; costing new capex projects re expansion, building case for lease-finance funding etc)
Design and production of detailed annual budget and quarterly re-forecast for Board review
Establish new month end procedures for timely and accurate production of management accounts/Board Pack
Set-up new forecasting model (likely Excel) to accurately manage planning of resources (e.g. cashflow; revenue breakdowns etc)
Manage multi-currencies (bank accounts, payments, receipt etc)
Liaise with external accountants re year end/statutory accounts
Maintaining Finance Lease accounting records
Management and reconciliation of invoice discounting records through nominal ledgers (e.g. advances, receipts, charges etc)
Manage day to day finance operations:
Supervising one accountant. Management is expected to increase to 3 heads over the next 2-3 years.
Ensure ledgers are up to date
Maintenance of fixed asset register
Requirements
Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CA / CPA or equivalent) with minimum 2 years PQE.
Strong management accounting and analysis background
Some financial accounts/statutory accounts experience (eg monthly balance sheet, maintaining fixed asset register etc)
Good Accounting systems experience and knowledge of report building
Strong Excel skills
Interest in broadcast and new technology
Must be a self-starter, proactive and confident with colleagues at all levels
