I am recruiting a qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA accountant for a Capital Accountant position in Hull with a nationally known organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to join this company in a new and exciting phase of their history.


THE ROLE

-The main aim of the role is to process fixed assets and the income and expenses for all projects including all capital expenditure and work in progress within a finance shared service.
-Process acquisition, disposal and depreciation accounting for all fixed assets
-Calculate all post investment appraisals for projects, complete year end disclosures and support the budgeting/forecasting process
-Liaise regularly with other non finance departments and project owners, co-ordinate the annual investment property valuation exercise, process income and expenses for all projects
-Various ad hoc duties as and when required


THE CANDIDATE

-Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, you may be looking for your first step out of professional practice into industry or may already be working in commerce and looking for a new, challenging role to utilise your current skills and develop them further
-Excellent communication skills will be required and the ability to relay finance to non finance people and be able to work with an ethos of achieving objectives
-A good relationship builder, you are able to provide timely and clear reporting and have a high degree of accuracy in all your work
-Previous experience in a capital accounting role is desirable but not essential
