Tax Manager, London

One of the largest housing groups in the country, the business needs to appoint a new Tax Manager who will assist the Head of Taxation with the overall management of their tax affairs. With significant investment, this is an exciting time to join the firm as they plan to build over 50,000 new homes over the next decade. The Affordable Housing market is developing rapidly and this group is very much at the sharp end of this, with a large turnover and a large surplus to help with reinvestment.

Working closely with, and directly for, the Head of Taxation, you’ll be the main point of contact with the development and finance team for tax related enquiries. You’ll also be working very closely with the Head of Taxation in relation to complex tax projects and will deal extensively with tax advisors and lawyers on complex transactions. This is a great opportunity for a talented Tax Manager with experience of the Affordable Housing market to make an impact with business undergoing a significant period of change.

As well as strong experience of tax management within an Affordable Housing environment, you will also hold formal finance and/or tax qualifications such as CTA, ACA or ACCA. This is a growing department and will suit someone who enjoys sharing experience and helping to develop more junior members of staff. You’ll also be monitoring several projects at once so the ability to prioritise and multi-task whilst remaining calm is crucial. Suffice to say you will also have up to date tax knowledge including VAT, Corporation Tax and CIS.
