Badenoch & Clark is currently working in partnership with a highly reputable and pervasive company towards the appointment of a Regulatory and Technical Reporting Manager based in West Sussex. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is seeking to work with a high degree of autonomy in an environment that simultaneously nurtures your development and pushes you to optimise your potential.
You will be a pivotal member of the finance team and your work will supplement the short and long term objectives of the company. This will entail the preparation and subsequent delivery of timely and accurate insurance reporting. As such, the suitable candidate will hold a professional accountancy or insurance qualification (ACA/CTA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and will have demonstrable prior exposure to regulatory, external and solvency reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
* Working with the wider finance team and various other departments you will be required to provide solvency and regulatory reporting.
* Responsible for the production, analysis and delivery of quarterly and annual statutory II reports.
* Review and understand all QRT templates and sources and owners of data requirements, ensuring that procedures are documented and timetabled to support submission of reports
* Deliver solvency and capital monthly reporting to Exec and Risk & Compliance Committee
* Produce the EBS to support valuation models, reporting information for ORSA and PRA compliance. This will require understanding of the accounting and technical EBS requirements
* Validation of underlying insurance numbers and provide analysis of all key variances
* Provide capital modelling reports and analysis to support business planning, management reporting and external regulatory processes (ORSA requirements). Contribute to capital strategy and Support measurement of Risk adjusted profitability - Develop and deliver insurer and commercial partner reporting
* Provide board reporting with capital solvency and risk adjusted profitability
* Support achievement of improved capital management and subsequent rating achievement
* Lead on technical accounting policy changes and implementation
* Support the technical blue-printing of PRA/FCA regulatory reporting with new SAP general ledger
Essentials:
* Experience of producing Solvency II Pillar 3 requirements including QRTs and P&L Attribution as well as contributing to the Group ORSA, SFCR & RSR
* Strong interest / career bias towards technical and regulatory accounting
* Strong Technical Knowledge of applicable accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP)
* Background, experience and significant knowledge of the Insurance industry and insurance accounting
