Accounts Payable Manager

My client, a fast growth fashion retailer based in West London, are looking to appoint an Accounts Payable Manager into their finance team on a permanent basis.

As the AP manager you will manage a small Accounts Payable team within a busy finance department and be responsible for ensuring prompt processing of all documents and payments. Your priority will be to motivate the team to perform their roles to the best of their ability and liaise with key department heads to ensure suppliers are paid in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

• Reviewing and developing the AP process and ensuring it is fit for purpose
• SAP lead on AP processes and issue resolution
• Leading the team to ensure the accurate coding, inputting and matching of all invoices in SAP
• Ensuring payment delegation limits and approvals are adhered to
• Reviewing and agreeing payment runs prior to any payments being made
• Managing the closing of financial records for month end, year end and running reports
• Reviewing and managing KPI's on a weekly basis- identifying any areas of improvement and implementing change to successfully improve these

You will have a number of years' experience managing an Accounts Payable function and have a proven track record for implementing and improving processes and procedures and successfully motivating a team to achieve eficiency. You will ideally have working knowledge of SAP and have a resilient personality with the ability to be adaptable.
