Interim Project Accountant

A leading hospitality business in Luton are looking for a Project Accountant on a 6 month basis.

The Project Accountant will be responsible for reconciling large volumes of data, at a very detailed level. The role requires someone who is familiar with reconciliations and will require an analytical, accurate, numbers driven, and process orientated approach.

You will need to be confident to deal with people at all levels and to not get frustrated with issues. Your role will be integral to identifying problems and trends, improving the accuracy of data and ensuring a robust balance sheet and reporting. The ability to spot trends and communicate issues effectively will aid your work.

As Project Accountant you will have previous SAP experience and be comfortable running and navigating basic SAP GL reports. You should be comfortable using at Excel to a reasonable standard which will be achieved by: gaining a good understanding of the chart of accounts; analysing and reconciling accounts relating to revenue, costs, assets and liabilities; supporting the division balance sheet reconciliations to prove the financial position and; driving through improvements in quality and consistency of balance sheet reconciliations & accounting practices.
