Our client is a fast paced business with an interesting business model.

They are currently recruiting for a part qualified accountant to join their project accounting team.

Reporting to the head of the department, your role will centre around producing the monthly management information and duties will include;

  • Reviewing the Fixed Asset Register and reconciling to the balance sheet
  • Producing the monthly Management Accounts Packs
  • Producing KPI analysis on contracts
  • Reconciling intercompany accounts
  • Assisting with the audit and statutory accounts review
  • Assisting with the production of statutory accounts
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Producing monthly holding company management accounts
  • Managing the monthly posting of stock
  • Preparing and submitting Annual Returns
  • Collating the data required for Tax Packs
  • Producing the monthly VAT analysis and quarterly returns
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Ad hoc project analysis as required

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of accounting principles and will ideally be actively studying towards an accounting qualification.

Experience of fixed assets and stock is ideal alongside someone who is confident working with people at varying levels as you will be involved in the preparation of board packs and will interact with senior management on a regular basis.

A strong grasp of Excel is also very important but training will be given on the accounting system.
