Solicitors Finance Manager

Butler Rose are proud to partner one of the South`s leading law firms in their search for a Finance Manager to be based in Portsmouth.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will have experience of managing or leading a large team within a professional services environment - ideally within the legal sector.

This challenging role will include the following duties:

• Day to day team management of a large finance team including allocation and supervision of work, training, support, recruitment and appraisals.
• Responsibility for the banking, cashiering and general finance teams.
• Development and implementation of internal processes and controls.
• Administration of online banking facility.
• Responsibility for regulatory compliance and ensuring best practice within the team.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including auditors and bank managers.

The candidate:

Candidates should have a solid experience at Manager/Supervisor level role ideally within the legal industry. You will have proven numeracy and IT literacy skills and considerable knowledge and experience of VAT and ideally Solicitors Accounts Rules. Candidates should be confident in communicating with the team and others across the business and be a solid team player. You will have the ability to work under pressure, excellent time management skills and have an enthusiastic and positive outlook.
