Finance Director

FD recruit are sourcing an experienced and commercially astute Finance Director to join the leadership team of and forward-thinking, multi-site UK leisure brand.  This role is based in their Chatham offices in Kent. 

The brand has experienced huge growth over the last few years, strengthening its position in the UK leisure market.  They have an active and impressive business development plan in place.  With this in mind, they need a Finance Director to take the reins and guide the business forward in this exciting time.

This is a complex, busy and varied role and is perfect for an experienced financial professional with the expertise to deliver the full variety of finance tasks.

Finance Director Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for all financial functions of the business
• Day to day management of financial operations
• Responsible for ensuring robust and smooth finance process are in place
• Deliver an active and insightful contribution to shaping business strategy
• Utilise commercial knowledge and financial insight to provide crucial financial guidance and advice
• Regularly assess company financial performance
• Review and evaluate new business opportunities and cost saving opportunities
• Management of accounting team, including recruitment, on-boarding, appraisals and individual development
• Manage and oversee the budgeting and forecasting process
• Preparation of statutory and management accounts
• Ensure the business adheres to compliance

Skills & experience required:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable role
• Fully qualified accountant
• Exceptional strategic skills and operational abilities
• Tenacious, driven and confident in driving through change
• First-rate communication skills
• Superior management abilities
