Financial Accountant

Your new company

Hays Finance are pleased to partner with an exciting company seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team. The company require an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with good communication skills, Excel competency and at least part-qualified in relevant accounting qualifications (AAT, CIMA, ACCA).

Your new role

The role will operate as part of the wider finance department, reporting to the Financial Planning and Project Accountant with responsibilities including (but not limited to) audit and statutory accounts review, production of statutory accounts, reconciliations, KPI analysis, VAT and budgeting and forecasting.

In this role as a Financial Accountant you will be required to carry out other varied roles such as liaising with external auditors to conduct the statutory audit, producing monthly Management Accounts Packs and undertaking project analysis as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this job you will need to be AAT qualified, and preferably studying towards a further qualification. Ideally the preferred candidate will have knowledge of consolidation, charities and with experience of producing statutory accounts. You must be a clear verbal and written communicator with the ability to work to deadlines under pressure. You will also need to be a team player with good problem solving skills and attention to detail who is enthusiastic about their work.
