Finance Manager

A fantastic senior level Finance Manager position has just become available with a market leading Distribution company, based in the Warrington area. This opportunity would suit an experienced finance leader, with a commercial background and experience working with senior level Operational Managers. The ideal candidate would be comfortable challenging the established finance processes and recommending improvements. This organisation has a track record of developing their staff and offer one of the most competitive packages on the market.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for:

• Supporting and challenging the senior business unit team in the formulation and delivery of both business as usual and change programme plans and delivery of financial targets
• Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, Commentaries and financial statements
• Lead strategic analysis and planning
• Manage the production of robust budgets and forecasts
• Developing and managing financial systems/models
• Carrying out business modelling and risk assessments, including risk and opportunity analysis
• Provide the business unit with sound financial analysis and guidance in order to grow their business unit profitably
• Drawing causal effects of economic data on results and forecasts for the operating region
• Supervising and developing direct reports; create a succession plan
• Liaising with managerial staff and other colleagues
• Monitoring KPIs, challenging trends and performance on a weekly KPI call
• Review and challenge weekly flash and monthly forecasts of costs and volumes
• Ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures to deliver tight financial control
• Appraisal, monitoring and control of Capital Expenditure
• Deputise for Deputy Finance Director as required

Ideally you will have/be:

• Fully Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with proven industry experience
• Previous experience working within the Distribution or Manufacturing sector highly beneficial
• Experienced working in a fast paced commercial environment
• Strong communicator with business partnering experience, comfortable working with operational staff
• Experience working with a large ERP system such as SUN or SAP
