Finance Manager
Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, our client is an exciting and expanding company looking for a Finance Manager to join their team.
This job would suit a professionally qualified accountant, ideally practice trained with experience gained in a commercial organisation working in a financial or management accounting role looking after the month end close and reporting, working across the organisation.
This company is a leader in their field with a high level of innovation with a global reach, boasting an impressive and growing client portfolio and this role is key recruit for the UK business with the scope to genuinely influence their standing in their sector.
The successful individual will be a qualified accountant with a strong technical background and experience with either USGAAP or IFRS as well as developed IT skills and experience of a major ERP system. It is essential the individual is highly organised with the ability to monitor, plan and deliver work to tight deadlines. The confidence to challenge the status quo is vital and the candidate must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Duties will include:
- Month end close and reporting
- Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing/credit note issuance, general ledger journal postings, revenue recognition, analysis and reconciliation of relevant clients/projects
- Providing financial support to the business
- Liaising with the senior management across the businesses to ensure accuracy of reporting and minimize aged debt
- Ensuring data integrity within the accounting system and the correct set up of new programmes
- Assisting in reconciliation of Work in Progress, Job Accrual and other balance sheet accounts
- Assisting with forecasting and budgeting for the UK Business
- Ensuring SOX compliance across the finance function with full understanding of risks/opportunities
