My client is a dynamic, fast moving, multi-sited FTSE 250 Plc. Located in South Manchester, close to Manchester Airport, with a fantastic track record of growth, profitability and employee engagement, a fantastic opportunity has arisen within the business for an capable, Qualified financial accounting professional to join the finance team in a key role for the business.
Reporting to the FD and with extensive exposure to the Senior Management Board, With responsibility for a small, capable team, you will be responsible for the execution, reporting and leadership on all Group financial accounting and associated issues. Duties will include:
- Preparing Group and subsidiary accounts under IFRS and FRS 101 including interim HY reporting.
- Balance sheet reconciliations, including stock, interest and deferred income.
- Accounting for the Group's share option schemes
- Preparation of balance sheet, cash flow and working capital analysis slides for Investor Relations
- Balance sheet and working capital modelling and analysis.
- Cashflow and working capital forecasting and reporting against budget.
- Analysis of emerging accounting standards and their impact on the Group (incl. Leasing, Revenue Recognition)
- Ad hoc Tax and financial reporting projects.
- Liaising with auditors and monitoring process against audit plan
- Maintenance of reporting with the Group's banking syndicate and interest rate swap counter parties
You will be:
- ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant, with a minimum of 2 years PQE
- Ideally you will be from a big 4 background, or will have qualified within a retail or services organisation
- You will be a well rounded, analytical, with great attention to detail
- Strong IT skills, ERP experience, ideally SAP
Compensation:
My client is offering an industry leading package, which includes:
- £45,000 - £55,00 base salary
- 26 days holiday, raising to 28 with service.
