An award winning luxury travel business are looking for a Finance Manager to join their London Based team.

 

The London based Finance Manager will oversee and be responsible for all aspects of management accounting and reporting alongside the annual financial accounting and reporting. The role will also manage 1 permanent Assistant Accountant with the addition of contract staff on an ad-hoc basis.

 

Role responsibilities

Management Accounting

  • Reconciliation of the bespoke sales system. Analysing and fixing any discrepancies
  • Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled
  • Ensure all credit card expenses are entered and reconciled
  • Update & depreciate fixed asset register is updated and depreciated accordingly
  • Reconcile petty cash
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review & adjust expenses in line with contracts.
  • Entry, review and reconciliation of offsite/overseas employee expenses and currency cards
  • Accruals
  • Recharging suppliers for costs incurred
  • Refunding clients as and when appropriate
  • Maintenence and reconciliation of both Accounts Receivable and Payable Ledgers

Budget Management

  • Annual Budgeting and periodic Re-forecasting.
  • Prepare the supporting packs for the annual financial accounts to be reviewed by external audit.
  • Prepare monthly reports showing actual spend vs budget by department and discuss with budget holders to ensure management accounts commentary is useful.

Management Reports

  • Ensure daily sales and margin reports are updated.
  • Ad Hoc reporting as required.

People Management

Mentoring junior staff member, developing them within their role as the company's needs change

 

The successful candidate will be..

 

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or overseas equivalent).
  • A strong planner, able to manage conflicting priorities, stick to timeframes & meet key deliverables
  • Attentive to the detail
  • Superb communicator, able to deal with stakeholders from different backgrounds and nationalities
  • Able to analyse and clearly communicate financial data and information
  • Confident using Excel skills and have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Happy to get stuck in to ensure the business continues to be successful
