Whilst there will be the requirement for the successful candidate to be based in Story Homes Head Office in Carlisle, as and when required there is flexibility to work out of one of our regional offices in Chorley or Newcastle.
Detailed Job Description
The main remit of the Financial Analyst role at Story Homes will be to help maximise efficiency throughout the business, and identify potential opportunities and risks. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this Financial Analyst will play an important part in a business critical project to develop new MI reports that effectively meet the needs of this fast moving, forward-thinking organisation.
This position is ideal for a candidate who is able to employ excellent analytical skills to perform detailed data analysis and financial assessments. It will be the responsibility of this Financial Analyst to business partner with the wider finance team, and communicate clearly to make commercial, robust recommendations to improve efficiencies.
In addition to working closely with the finance team, as Financial Analyst you will also develop important relationships with stakeholders from all areas of the Story Homes business. Very quickly you will come to understand their key drivers, and provide your business partners with accurate financial modelling to drive excellence across the organisation.
Candidate's Profile
The chosen candidate will be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant who is able to demonstrate an ability to work at pace in an evolving and growing organisation.

The Financial Analyst will have experience in report writing and presenting solutions to complex financial questions.
Any candidates who have previous experience of working within the house building industry, or have been formally trained in a ˜Big Four' accountancy firm, will have an advantage for this position. However, this is not essential and we are excited to talk to any qualified accountants who are confident, dedicated, and able to show incredibly strong analytical skills whilst working within a fast paced finance team.
