The Finance & Accounting division of SF Group are currently recruiting for a Financial Accounting Manager based in Leicester. Based at the head office this role will report into the Head of Finance. You will take full responsibility for the running of the company's financial accounting & property accounting function including statutory reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, store cost accounting, tax & treasury functions (including corporation tax, VAT, intrastat and day-to-day cash reporting), fixed asset additions, and analysis of key control accounts.

As the Financial Accounting Manager your key responsibilities will be:

• Ensure that appropriate controls exist such that the company has integrity in its financial reporting - including compliance with key regulatory areas
• Manage the financial accounting team and ensure that day to day responsibilities are performed to a high standard
• Work with the Head of Finance and rest of the senior finance team to ensure that key aspects of the company's financial accounting processes are appropriately administered and information is available in a timely fashion
• Leadership of the financial accounting team and ensure that appropriate discussions are taking place across the team in terms of individual performance
• Take accountability for analysis and reporting of fixed asset expenditure
• Responsibility for the daily cash position and likely short term requirements, assist Head of Finance over preparation of key aspects of daily banking (e.g. management of loan facility, compliance certificate, facility renewal, etc.)
• Point of contact for bank's relationship managers
• Day to day responsibility for FX requirements and forward planning - including liaison with commercial team to understand requirements
• Corporation tax - oversee and assist in the preparation of corporation tax submissions (including quarterly payments on account) and liaise with external parties for technical assistance when required
• Work with auditors to ensure subsidiary statutory accounts are produced within the required timescales
• Lead the property accounting team to ensure accurate accounting for rents, rates and other store property related costs
• Ensure that the Head of Finance is well appraised of the company's financial position - current working capital and cash position and short term forecasting for these measures

You will need be a qualified accountant, 5 plus years PQE, previous experience of working at a senior level managing a team. Strong technical accounting knowledge and MS Dynamics experience. In return the salary would offer £55,000 plus car allowance of £6,000, plus bonus, benefits.
