Commercial Finance Manager

A market leading FMCG business in St Albans with multiple household brand names have an opportunity for a qualified accountant ( ACA/ACCA/CIMA), to join a busy Commercial Finance team.

Reporting to the Director Of Brand Finance, key responsibilities will include:

- Operating as the Finance Business Partner to the Category Marketing Directors

- Providing first class finance support to the cross functional brand teams to drive quality and informed business decision making for some of the UK's largest ambient food brands

- Supporting category management and wider teams with analysis, insights and judgements to ensure the best commercial decisions are taken to drive improved performance

- Understanding the performance drivers and issues of the relevant categories and the implications of these for the wider business

- Management of one Commercial Accountant

- Producing monthly performance reports, variance analysis and month end commentary

- Working closely with business partners and responding to ad-hoc queries providing accurate financial information to drive insight

- Supporting, driving and challenging the decision making process within the business including New Product Development, brand & product profitability, margin management and improvement and Consumer Marketing investment returns

Desired experience:

- ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified Accountant

- Experience of FMCG or fast paced environment

- Strong academics

- Business Partnering experience in a cross functional environment

- Exceptional analytical and communication skills

- Ability to challenge and influence as part of a matrix environment

- Advanced excel skills
