Accounts Assistant

My client, a highly successful and recognised Top 10 accountancy firm, is looking for a hardworking and organised individual to work as part of the outsourcing team and take on the transfer of existing client and supplier relationships whilst ensuring the highest quality of service. Working within a friendly environment at the company's modern and sophisticated offices located in Liverpool City Centre, this is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a varied and stable role that can provide some flexibility to the working hours.

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for:

• Processing large volumes of purchase invoices
• Maintaining, reconciling and controlling purchase and sales ledgers
• Arranging supplier payments for client approval
• Meeting client deadlines for payment runs
• Recording bank transactions and reconciling client bank accounts
• Producing financial statements including trial balance, income statement and balance sheet
• Collating and analysing accounts data and generating financial reports
• Responding to client enquiries and requests promptly via telephone and email
• Communicating effectively with other departments and teams to increase overall business and cross selling opportunities

Applicants must have good experience of Sage 50 accounts and ideally Xero and have experience of working in a similar role.
