Detailed Job Description

The main remit of this Finance Analyst role at Orica will be to take responsibility for correlating the management and financial reporting compiled by colleagues in European sites – including Spain, Portugal and Belgium. This position will also play a key role in liaising closely with regional European finance teams to assist in preparing reports and other ad-hoc projects. In addition to utilising management and financial accounting skills, this Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in helping to maximise efficiency throughout the business, and identify potential opportunities and risks. 

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller for Southern Europe, this Finance Analyst will play an important part in identifying initiatives and potential areas for improvement to enhance the efficiency of current processes.

This role will appeal to a technically strong accountant who wants to add value and think commercially within a fast moving, continually evolving organisation. You will prepare and review capital expenditure and financial models, as well as support the Financial Controller for Southern Europe with budgeting, reporting and forecasting.

This position is ideal for a candidate who is able to employ excellent analytical skills to interrogate the performance of the business across Europe, performing detailed analysis to thoroughly understand the meaning behind the results, and take initiative to work on ad-hoc projects. This Finance Analyst will be a vitally important business partner with Orica colleagues inside and outside of Finance across a range of countries, able to add value and communicate clearly to both peers and senior stakeholders.

As Finance Analyst you will understand Orica's key drivers, risks and opportunities, and provide your business partners with accurate information to drive excellence across the business.

Candidate's Profile

The chosen candidate for this Finance Analyst position will be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant who is naturally an enthusiastic individual with a keenness to learn and progress.
