Management Accountant

The applicant should be working towards their CIMA qualification and have at least 2 years previous experience in management accounting. You must be computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including a high level of Excel proficiency.  You must have good attention to detail and a flexible working approach, as well as an enquiring and analytical mind. 

Duties and Responsibilities to include;

• Preparation of the monthly Management Accounts and schedules of our rapidly growing pharmacy services business, adhering to strict reporting deadlines
• Monthly variance analysis
• Balance Sheet reconciliations and maintenance
• Preparation and posting of accruals, prepayments and adjusting journals
• Preparation, review and reconciliation of Drug rebate returns
• Development of new analysis (e.g. Margin analysis), and improvement of existing spreadsheet models 
• Assist with process improvements across the Pharmaxo business
• Monitor Sales and Purchase ledgers, and provide support to relevant teams
• Preparation of Monthly VAT returns
• Liaising with departmental managers re accounting issues
• Assist with preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with auditors
• Assist with all stock takes, reconciliations and investigations
• Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Finance Manager or CFO

In addition, the job holder commits to participate in any extended hours or Bank Holidays rotas, and to attend such study days and up-dating courses as are deemed necessary for the development of the unit and yourself.
