The client is a large privately owned pharmaceutical business, with an international presence and multi-billion dollar turnover. Success has been built around an entrepreneurial spirit, developing and acquiring new products whilst building businesses around the world. The business operates across a variety of therapeutic areas and expansion is through new product lines as well as new geographies.

Detailed Job Description

This is a newly created role that has arisen primarily as a result of international business expansion. The role will report to the International Reporting Manager.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the International Reporting Manager during the annual budget and mid-year update processes.
  • Assist in preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements under US GAAP.
  • Preparation of the monthly sales reports and analysis for issuance to shareholders and senior management.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting requirements arising from senior management, shareholders or advisers.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of reporting procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist with the ongoing implementation and roll out of Tagetik.
  • Develop new and better ways of utilising the Tagetik consolidation software to better meet customers' needs.

Candidate's Profile

The successful candidate will need to be a proactive/ inquisitive self-starter with the willingness and desire to challenge and improve existing processes.

You will need the following experience:

  • A graduate qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Group consolidation experience in a large organisation
  • Exposure to US GAAP advantageous
  • Hands on experience of at least one consolidation software package
  • Experience of CCH Tagetik software advantageous

You will also need the following competencies:

  • Willingness to learn and improve current processes
  • Highly numerate, analytical with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire trust and confidence
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Technically minded yet commercially focused

What's on offer

Basic salary between £50k and £65k depending on experience + annual bonus + benefits.
