The University is now seeking to appoint a new Director of Finance to provide outstanding commercial and financial leadership across the institution, during a period of unprecedented change for the higher education sector. As one of the largest universities in the country and operating from a position of financial strength, Manchester Metropolitan has ambitious plans and an exciting programme of major projects Iie ahead. These include plans to invest a further c£400m in the ongoing transformation of the university campus, major investment in new systems and IT infrastructure and the exploration of new commercial ventures and partnerships.

Occupying a key position on the University Executive and reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Malcolm Press, the successful candidate will bring significant strategic and operational finance experience gained within a large, complex, people-focused organisation. S/he will also possess the necessary expertise to drive innovative and entrepreneurial financial solutions and ensure the successful delivery of the new Strategic Plan.
