This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing manufacturing business with a genuine opportunity to partner across the whole corporate function. Our client is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a period of 12 months, starting ASAP.
The Role
As Assistant Accountant you will support all the day-to-day functions of the Finance Team. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, your duties will include:
- balance sheet reconciliations
- monthly reporting
- budgeting & forecasting
- preparation of monthly management accounts
- VAT & intrastat
- Assisting with all aspects of the year end process
- Monitoring of KPIs
- cost centre analysis
- assisting with the implementation of system improvements
- Maintaining the financial database and providing analysis for reporting purposes

The Candidate
The successful Assistant Accountant will need a strong base in all aspects of financial & management accounting, with an enthusiastic and "can-do" attitude. You are likely to be a graduate part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or have completed your AAT, and previous experience in a very broad role within a larger, more complex organisation will also be advantageous.
The salary range on offer is £23,000-£25,000 for the 12 month period depending on experience.
