I am currently recruiting for an Accountant to join a successful and diverse business based near Ellesmere Port. You will have autonomy and be responsible for the continued growth and success of this business.
Working in a dual role and reporting to the Operations Director duties will include:
Management Accounts
* Providing timely, insightful and accurate reporting
* Preparation of monthly management accounts for allocated subsidiary companies in line with agreed deadlines
* Preparation of detailed monthly financial analysis including a commentary where appropriate
* Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany accounts with explanations for variances. Ensure that all reconciling items are fully supported
* Ensuring that monthly and quarterly VAT returns are completed on time, reconciled and submitted to HMRC
* Supporting AP, treasury and credit control teams to ensure all transactions are processed accurately and on a timely basis
* Assisting with year-end and interim audits
* Dealing with ad-hoc queries from stakeholders
Accountancy Practice
* Day to Day Management of an Accountancy Practice portfolio of clients
* Invoicing
* Offering a range of services to Limited company clients including
- VAT and Corporation Tax Returns
- Annual Accounts
- Companies House Returns
- Calculation of Weekly/Monthly reimbursement figures.
- Expenses and Tax Queries
- IR35 Compliance Advice
* Self-Assessment Tax Returns
* Personal Tax Planning
Qualifications & Experience:
* AAT Level 4 Qualified as a minimum
* High level of numeracy, able to explain complex financial information in a clear way
* Accuracy in information produced, professionalism and commitment
* Experience in staff management, supervision or mentoring
* Comfortable with and ability to network and bring in new clients
