Group Consolidation Accountant

Our client, a telecommunications business based in Jamaica, is currently looking to hire a Group Consolidation Accountant on a permanent basis. The role is paying GBP equivalent of £60/70K base salary and candidates who are looking to relocate are of interest. The business covers the Caribbean, Central America and APAC regions and is a multi-billion turnover global business.

This is a senior role within Group finance; you will be responsible for the preparation of the group consolidation on a monthly basis and external financial reporting for the Group's quarterly, half year and year-end financial statements.

You will be the key point for group consolidation, compilation of notes and disclosures, integration of acquisition accounting and preparation of reconciliations to support the group financial statements. Experience in complex group consolidations and strong technical knowledge of IFRS is essential. This role is at the heart of the Group finance function and will touch all financial aspects of the Group.

Qualifications and experience required for this job is as follows; ACA qualified, with two to three years relevant experience; management of complex multi-location, multi-currency consolidations; application of key consolidation principles such as group eliminations, investments, foreign exchange and intercompany transactions; and preparation of group financial statements.
