Assistant Accountant

A flourishing SME manufacturer with an £18 million turnover are searching for a Graduate Assistant Accountant to work alongside their Finance Director to complete the reporting, analysis and accounts for the finance team. The business are in a very stable position and they require someone on a permanent basis.

In your role as the Graduate Assistant Accountant you will take on various duties and responsibilities.

Your main responsibilities will include:
*Assisting with various month end processes for Balance sheet and Profit and loss reporting
*Assisting the general ledger team at the direction of the Finance Manager and/or Senior Management Accountant where required, for the maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts
*Inputting forecast analysis and analysing variances on a monthly basis as directed by the Finance Director and/or Senior Management Accountant
*Assisting in preparing the annual budgets and uploading spreadsheet models into the company's financial modelling systems
*Processing and posting journals to reconcile monthly accounts
*Preparing Quarterly roll-forwards for Prepayments and Accruals accounts
*Reconciling and coding of monthly IT Recharge invoices

If you have any experience in the manufacturing industry then please clearly detail this on your CV. Likewise, should you have had any exposure to Microsoft Excel (VBA, SQL, pivot tables/vlookups/macros) then please make sure this is highlighted. The business are offering a full study support package for any candidate who is not yet qualified. The salary will depend on experience and the length of study still remaining.
