Accountant

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire - A leading business based to the north of Cambridge are looking for a competent Accountant to support their European entities in a management and financial accounting capacity.

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be joining a business that is a recognisable business within the area within their specialist field. The organisation over a supportive and challenging environment in which to excel in both a professional and personal capacity.

The role will encompass both management and financial accounting tasks from preparing monthly management accounts, statutory accounts including group reporting packs for specific trading entities in southern Europe while maintaining contact with local specialists in tax regulations. You will support the Finance Manager through the budget and forecasting processes, analyse margins and variances for the specific trading entities. The role will require occasional travel to support the wider channels- on average 2 days per month but arranged well in advance.

The successful applicant will hold an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) within prior experience in both a management and financial accounting role. Individuals from the profession will also be considered. You will have a keen eye for detail, able to communicate effectively with both finance and non finance individuals as you provide valuable input throughout the accounting processes from a month end and ad-hoc project perspective. Salary £35,000 -£45,000 p.a
