Internal Audit Manager - Financial Services, Manchester. Up to £70000
Your new company
Award winning lending & savings challenger bank, predominantly servicing small and medium sized enterprises, homeowners, landlords & individuals. Currently seeking an ambitious Internal Audit Manager, experienced in the financial services sector, to join this highly respected audit function.
Your new role
Reporting into the Senior Internal Audit Manager, within the Group Internal Audit function, you will assist in performing risk assessed audits and formulating the annual audit plan. You will take end to end ownership of the audits, project managing delivery to senior stakeholders.
You will provide assurance that the audit strategy covers new and emerging risks, producing impactful reports identifying the root causes of issues. You will recommend remedial actions which consider the commercial appetite of the organisation as well as internal change strategies & audit best practice, especially in areas of regulatory focus.
Working in a function recognised for its professionalism and value adding work you will be an ambassador further enhancing the profile of group internal audit, maintaining a 'no surprises' partnership culture, whilst maintaining professional, objective independence.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally Big 4 trained, you will have significant experience of auditing within financial services / banking, ideally with credit risk, or Internal Ratings Based expertise, although not essential. You will have an in depth understanding of UK regulation, in particular regulatory focus from the PRA & FCA. You should be self motivated, capable of working independently with a genuine desire to succeed and the ability to influence with strong communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
