Your new company
Our client is a leading Scottish brand with a prestigious reputation in the Manufacturing Industry. Through significant expansion and expectations to double turnover in the next 12 months, our client is looking to recruit a Finance Manager for their 18 million turnover business in Edinburgh. Manufacturing in the UK and Internationally, our client have over 20 years in their respective field and are now seeking the support and direction of a qualified accountant to deliver greater business intelligence as they continue to diversify and grow the portfolio. Reporting to the managing director, the Finance manager will be part of the senior management team with excellent leadership and relationship management skills.
Your new role
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the management of 2 Accounts Assistants and the delivery of financial and weekly/monthly management accounts. Budget management, cash-flow forecasting, cost tracking and spend management will be key priorities as well as overseeing the running of the functions banking activities, payroll and transactional management. This role will be a key post for the organisation as the sole Qualified Accountant on site and will take he lead on month-end delivery, preparing information for external auditors and driving balancesheet & P&L performance. This role will look beyond the numbers to support the businesses operational outputs and will have wide visibility across the merchandising, retail and distribution function to support buying patterns and drive forwards the bottom line. Sales forecasting, streamlining costs and providing recommendations will be a significant part of the role aswell as business partnering across various levels within the team. In addition this role will support various systems projects from developing sage and supporting the integration of financial systems across the group.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years PQE gained ideally within the SME industry. Experience within professional practice is highly desirable. You will have experience in providing detailed management information to support a growing function and will have strong communication skills o create synergies across retail operations and the finance team. You will be ambitious and driven to drive the business forwards as it embarks on a new growth phase.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a Renumeration package between £40,000 - £50,000 per annum. In addition you will receive a standard pension, 31 days holiday and potential to earn a bonus depending on performance.
