Your new company
Our client is a US owned business with annual revenues of c$1.8 billion and operations in North America, continental Europe, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. In the UK, they operate a network of around 45 branches and these 2 business partnering roles will support senior directors across the country from their base in Peterborough.

Your new role
The main driver of these jobs is to work with the regional directors to identify financial and strategic goals so these are very commercial and customer focussed roles. You will identify key business areas and opportunities to drive growth by spotting trends and gaps in the market and their service offering as well as developing financial controls and challenging costs and identifying areas for savings.
Your job will also cover monthly budgeting and forecasting reporting as well as P & L and balance sheets, KPI and business driver reporting and some capex control.
There will be UK wide travel in this role so that you can get close to the business and gain first hand knowledge as well as direct access to the key decision makers in the business. There are two roles to be recruited (dividing the country north/south) and while you will be expected to be based in the Peterborough HQ for at least 1 week per month, you could be based anywhere in the UK because this job will take you out and into the heart of our clients operations.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience of management and financial reporting is a given, along with a formal accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA. However, the characteristics that will set you apart from the crowd will be your commercial thinking and previous experience of influencing and improving business operations. You'll need to be a confident decision maker based on sound analytics, a capability to challenge the status quo, robust data and business sense.
