Your new company : Our client are a cutting edge technology company in Edinburgh looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious qualified accountant that will help drive the business forwards to achieve an already impressive double digit growth over the next 2 years. This innovative and entrepreneurial business have made the decision to bring their finance team in house and as such are looking to recruit an ambitious Finance Manager with the potential to get to Financial Controller in the next 2/3 years.

Your new role
You will be working in a highly autonomous setting responsible for building the finance function in Edinburgh. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be a key stakeholder in growing a 3 million turnover business with a focus to increasing to 10 million for 2019. The Finance Manager will project manage key initiatives over the first 6 months including managing the move in-house and to laying the foundations for the financial MI. The Finance Manager will act in a stand alone role maintaining responsibility for financial and management accounts functions, ledger maintenance, systems development and Audit, where you will take the lead in this process as well as designing and ensuring the controls framework is fit for purpose.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a newly qualified/post qualified accountant with experience in a "hands on" finance environment. You will have experience in a Financial reporting environment where you will have delivered financial reporting packs, P&L and balance sheet analysis and ensured business wide processes and functions are fit for statutory audit. You will be expected to project manage the delivery of the financial system as well as recommending for the effective transfer in-house. This role would suit either a first mover from practice or SME environment where analysis of systems, processes and procedures have featured across their career to date.
