Financial Reporting Accountant

My client, a leading Life Insurance firm based in the City of London, requires a Financial Accountant to join their successful and rapidly growing Finance team. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a dynamic and broad-focused team, looking not only at supporting the Finance Manager with the core Financial Reporting and Solvency 2 requirements, but also preparing and presenting the Quarterly and Annual Management Information (MI) Packs to the CFO and other senior, board level stakeholders.

 

Key Duties:

• Preparing and presenting Quarterly and Annual MI Packs to the CFO and Senior Management
• Performing the Financial Close Process for the quarterly, annual and ad hoc reporting
• Managing the quarterly and annual reporting process by ensuring deadlines are met
• Delivering high quality output for quarterly and annual reporting e.g. Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs)
• Maintaining and regularly updating the Solvency II Policy Documents
• Responsible for quarter end and month end accounting and control for US GAAP and IFRS Reporting
• Responsible for preparing technical accounting papers to support accounting treatment under US GAAP, IFRS and Solvency II
• Ad hoc projects and requests from Directors, Financial Control and Treasury

 

Qualifications & Expertise:

• Recently qualified ACA from a Top 10 accounting firm (Big 4 preferred).
• Ability to produce high quality work within agreed deadlines
• Ability to manage expectations of Senior Managers, Directors and external stakeholders
• Communicates in a clear and practical manner, both verbally and in writing
