Financial Controller

Our client is a high growth technology business with ambitious expansion plans. Reporting to the CFO key responsibilities for the Financial Controller will include -

• Day to day supervision and coaching of the Finance team, which comprises an Assistant Management Accountant and two Accounts Assistants
• Review and overall responsibility for the management accounts process
• Producing consolidated Management Information (MI) pack, including full commentary and variance analysis compared to budget, and prior year for inclusion in the report to the Board
• Completion of the full monthly Management Accounts for two trading subsidiaries, including all supporting schedules
• Processing sensitive information e.g. expenses, reconciling payroll to the nominal ledger and administration of the pension scheme
• Review of weekly payment run
• Responsible for preparing the year end audit pack and acting as the first point of contact for the external auditors
• Responsible for the preparation of the IFRS financial statements of the Group and subsidiaries 
• Tax compliance including corporation tax, PAYE, VAT and CCL
• Assist in the identification of risks and drive process and control improvements to increase efficiency in the Finance department
• Eventual ownership of financial planning and analysis process
• Ad-hoc project work and queries as required

You will be a Qualified Accountant with excellent communication and Excel skills. You must have a genuine appetite to work in a high growth SME. An appreciation of capital expenditure would be hugely beneficial. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to interact with people at all levels.
