Robertson Bell finance are currently recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner. Our London based client is a renowned lottery funded public sector organisation who are looking for a experienced qualified Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner to join the team on a fixed term contract basis for period of circa 13 months.

The organisation is about to embark on an exciting period of transformation and change which will see a restructure to the finance department and an organisation wide system implementation and this opportunity will suit a technically strong Management Accountant that is involved and invested in the detail. Looking after the organisations biggest and most developed directorates the role's main purpose is to lead on the production of monthly management accounts including variance analysis for Senior Management Team. Reporting into the Head of Management Reporting, specific responsibilities include:

*Produce directorate monthly reporting.
*Support the production of Management Accounts paper for the Executive Group, various committees and the Board.
*Delivering monthly Central Government required information and analysis.
*Manage the preparation of required year end statutory reporting notes.
*Provide information and support to the interim and finance audits.
*Manage the monthly forecast process ensuring all forecast changes are challenged.
*Work with Head of Management Reporting to manage the annual budget process.
*Consolidate, evaluate and analyse the budget.
*Assist in the preparation of budget packs for Executive review.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams.
*Provide support and guidance to executive directions and teams to challenge financial plans and decisions.

In applying for this post, you must be fully qualified accountant with excellent communications skills. You will be inquisitive by nature and must be in the detail and be able to provide detailed commentary and analysis on the numbers. The post would suit someone previous experience within a government finance environment or those with a strong practice background that has recent accounting experience.
