Financial Controller

Our client, a long established and prestigious international brand in the entertainment industry seeks a part-time (2 days per week) hands-on financial controller to take charge of the bookkeeping, accounting and reporting in their South London headquarters.

The fast-moving role entails working in a pressurised team environment, alongside people who act with global counterparties, often at short notice.

The finance manager role:

As sole charge finance manager, you will be responsible for all accounting including, bookkeeping and processing, VAT and PAYE returns and compliance, KPI production, as well as monthly and annual reporting, cashflow management, budgeting and financial administration. You will also be deal with the bank relationship, and personal accounting of director

Your initial challenge will be to bring the accounts in-house from the external accountants.  Following the implementation, you will ensure that appropriate systems and processes are in place to improve running of the finance function and to take work off the Office Manager. 

Skills and experience required for the finance manager role:

• ACCA/CIMA qualified or similar.
• Looking for part-time work only – 2 days per week.
• Prior experience as a finance manager / financial controller.
• Confident and outgoing self-starter.
• Having worked within a creative environment would be an advantage.
• Good access to South London.
• Must uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and exude trustworthiness.
