Your new company is a start-up technology business that is set on revolutionising the way that sports and live events are experienced by enhancing the quality of spectators' digital experience. A market that has been successfully established across the USA, this London based business have recently won a key contract with a leading sports stadium. They are ambitious and looking to emulate the overseas market using that initial success as a platform to grow market share with their innovative product offering.

Your new role
Working directly with the Commercial Director, you will initially be involved with setting up the financial and management reporting process and presenting the useful information to senior stakeholders, with the role developing into a commercial one operating on large project management engagements. Commercial elements such as working on bids and tenders will help to support business development activities on further contract negotiations. Backed by a successful venture capital firm, additional offshore tax structuring and developing a complex understand of the wider property technology industry will form key parts of the role. Initially a lean team you'll be exposed to senior management, and as the business grows your position will require a finance team to be built around you to closely monitor project and financial performance.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong academic background and sound technical understanding of accountancy through ideally completing your ACA or ICAS qualification from a small or mid tier accountancy practice. You will have in depth experience of working with owner managed businesses and SMEs particularly on supporting them prepare the management and financial accounts. You will also be ambitious with enough drive and motivation to take on a business opportunity that will in time move away from pure accounting and into a real operational and strategic role that can yield great rewards in the future.
