If so, we'd love to hear from you. My client, a successful manufacturer and wholesaler, is seeking to recruit an experienced commercial Management Accountant on a long term contract basis. A pioneering brand within its field, my client is an instantly recognisable UK wholesaler and retailer, with a successful e-commerce channel and US distribution network. The successful candidate will be based out of the Manchester offices. Reporting to the FD, you will maintain and improve the provision of management information to the business and continue the work to improve accuracy, speed and detail of management reporting.
Your responsibilities will extend to:
• Weekly Sales Reporting to Senior Management
• Monthly Net Sales Reporting & Gross Margin calculation
• Currency Revaluation
• Stock Review & Reporting
• P&L preparation for Retail Outlets
• Shop & E-Commerce Reconciliation
• Business Partnering with Marketing
• Balance Sheet Review
The FD is a very approachable and effective finance professional with extensive experience within the retail sector. The finance department has recently implemented a new system, and has improved processes, controls and reporting. However, there are still many improvements to make, particularly in terms of cost centre reporting and visibility. The successful applicant will have the freedom and opportunity to work with the FD and business to improve granular reporting. My client is seeking an experienced commercial, Management Accountant who can commit to the completion of a 12 month contract. You will possess multi-site experience in a similar sector such as retail, wholesale or distribution. Furthermore, your Excel skills will be strong and you will have proven communication/business partnering skills - working with non-finance colleagues.
There is an element of flexibility around the start date of this contract so my client will consider candidates who are available immediately or whose contracts will be concluding within the next two months,
