Interim Group Management Accountant

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Pratap is delighted to be working exclusively with a leading manufacturing business in Leeds to recruit a Group Management Accountant on an interim basis.

Candidate must be available to start ASAP

THE JOB:

Reporting to the Group Finance Director you will be required to lead in the timely production of the Monthly Management Accounts and other financial reports. In addition, there will be a requirement to assist in varying tasks across varying functions within the business. This will be an extremely varied and challenging role with duties to include but not limited to:

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts (including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet) for various companies across the group including UK & overseas companies.
• Margin analysis
• Assistance with month end stock count
• Bank reconciliations
• Reconciliation and maintenance of the Balance Sheet accounts
• Preparation and posting of journals
• Posting of invoices, payments & petty cash journals for Asia Pacific company
• Key General Ledger account analysis
• Issuing purchase order numbers in accordance with authority limits
• Placing orders for non stock consumables
• Matching PO's/ delivery notes/invoices when required
• Preparation of the year-end audit files & liaison with auditors during statutory audit process
• Preparation of weekly cashflow forecast
• Debtor, creditor and stock analysis
• Production of ad-hoc reports & analysis

The successful candidate will have the following :

Essential

• Qualified CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification
• Experience of production of management accounts from GL to detailed analysis
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized & self-motivated individual
• Ability to manage team members

Desirable

• Experience of working in a manufacturing business
• Experience of working with overseas subsidiary companies

• Salary up to £45,000
