Our client is a B2B software / technology company who now require an experienced Part Time CFO / FD for 6-8 days per month. The FD will establish strong financial processes and procedures to provide the shareholders, and board, with timely reporting, governance and guidance on all financial matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the finance function and ensure maximum value / return.
- Implement robust internal controls
- Establish annual/monthly KPIs
- Establish and review budgeting & forecasts
- Establish processes for creating monthly management accounts
- Review computer systems and software to ensure they are adequate and will allow for growth
- Establish and oversee cashflow process, ensuring it's consistent with company requirements
- Work with Tax Advisors to ensure the company & stakeholders are maximising tax breaks.
- Oversee and administer company pension scheme
- Translate all figures and data in a way that makes sense
- Liaise with external advisors, Banks & Auditors
- Help monitor and negotiate costs of large expenditure items
- Review and standardise customer contracts
Key Background/Experience:
- SME Technology Business Finance
- Knowledge of trading internationally deally US/Australia
- Managing change and profitability improvement
- Acquisition analysis and evaluation
- Exit Planning - MBO/IPO
- Managing stakeholder / shareholder relations
- Designing / implementing tax efficiencies and share option schemes
- Due diligence planning
- Governance & audit requirements
- Risk assessment and mitigation planning
- Participating in board meetings
This role would suit an experienced Part Time FD with experience of SME Tech businesses. In addition, only candidates with experience of business exits will be considered.
