Finance Manager

Our client is a high profile, Educational institution based in central Cambridge with an international brand and reputation.
The role of the Finance Department is to manage its financial affairs and providing a professional service to budgetholders, while also liaising effectively with the rest of the University. The responsibilities of the Finance Department include all the functions involved in maintaining a general accounting system, as well as supplying accurate and timely information to enable the Director and Faculty Board of the School to make informed decisions about the School's activities. In addition, the Finance Department prepares and administers budgets, provides financial advice, and ensures adherence to University financial regulations.
The ideal candidate will be CCAB Qualified and will have proven experience of preparing monthly management accounts. You will have extensive background in preparing budgets and an ability to work with financial systems. You will be asked to assist in providing strategic advice to non-finance budgetholders and excellent communication skills are essential. You will be also capable of demonstrating commercial acumen and providing insight and analysis to a set of accounts.
