Elevation Recruitment Group are currently looking for a Qualified Management Accountant to join a leading manufacturing business based in Sheffield which has been revolutionised in recent years since being acquired by a dynamic and forward thinking corporation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified accountant or perhaps 1- 2 year post qualified accountant to join this exciting and fast paced business to work alongside the Site Financial Controller in a fully autonomous role. The vacancy has come about due to a recent promotion and there is chance that this role can also offer the same career progression and opportunity in the future.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of Management and Statutory Accounts
- Variance Analysis and completing detailed balance sheet reconciliations
- Involvement in location's self-assessment and process improvement programs
- Capital project appraisals, requests and monitoring
- KPI reporting
- Maintenance and Review of Standard Costing System
- Support Commercial team with pricing strategy
- Support Operational teams in their Continuous Improvement program to ensure that activities increase profitability and free cash flow
- Key participant in weekly operational management meetings and quarterly Lean events
- Assist controller in management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Shared Services
- VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales Returns
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, payroll and stock
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
- CIMA/ACA/ACCA Qualified (or late part qualified)
- Experience of working in fast paced manufacturing environment (Desirable)
- Strong excel and systems skills
- Previous involvement in continuous improvement, problem-solving or project management (Desirable)
- Aptitude and desire to get involved in business partnering
- Keen to learn
- Good attention to detail
- Creative
- Confident to share opinions
