My client situated on the out skirts of West Malling is currently looking to recruit a Assistant Corporate Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role due to continued company growth. This role would suit someone who is actively studying towards their ACCA or CIMA qualification.
The key skills required for this role:
• Assisting with the preparation of quarterly group VAT returns, liaising with Accounts Managers when required to obtain additional breakdowns of expenses.
• Extracting information from management accounts to be used in corporation tax returns.
• Assist with the preparation of tax packs at the year end and dealing with information requests from external tax advisors.
• Analysis of expenses to get additional breakdown of items when required for corporation tax purposes.
• Gather information for, preparing and submitting monthly CIS returns.
• Assist with keeping the statutory records for all group companies up to date.
• Preparation and submission of confirmation statements for all group companies.
• Monitoring cash flow for the group.
• Dealing with auditors queries regarding year end accounts
• Ad hoc projects in relation to statutory reporting.
This role will become a key member of the finance function and for the correct person progression is likely. There will be a full study support provided and on the job training.
