Accounts Receivable

Job Description:

Working as part of a small team within a large accounts department, you will be expected to continue to provide the same level of service to our customers, ensuring that all payments to our external suppliers are completed in an accurate and timely manner. You will be responsible for ensuring customer records are updated accurately to reflect payments.

Duties:

• Process customer payments via various payment methods & systems.
• Take payments in various currencies, calculating exchange rates.
• Match and reconcile Bank accounts to our in-house system.
• Identify and resolve queries & discrepancies.
• Manage customer late payments.
• Liaise both internally with various departments and externally with both sales people and customers in the UK and abroad.
• Update clients computerized records
• Reporting and recording of daily payments
• Maintain filing system
• Other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Accounts Manager

Person Specification:

• Accounts/Finance experience.
• Credit Control/banking experience.
• Transactional Foreign exchange experience - preferably within a banking environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management, ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Confident telephone skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Query resolution experience
• Experience with Excel/Word
