Site Accountant

Hudson James is proud to be supporting a leading, global manufacturing business, based in a commutable location from Scunthorpe, Doncaster and Lincoln, with the appointment of a Site Accountant. My Client has grown organically and through a series of strategic acquisitions and has succeeded in achieving sustained profitability.

This opportunity has arisen through an internal promotion and so my Client is now seeking a newly qualified or late stage Accountant to join the organisation is an operationally focused finance role. You will have a manufacturing background in order to perform the following responsibilities:

• Provide routine statistics packs for the factory covering labour costs, maintenance spend, utility costs, consumables spend, stock levels etc.
• Review costs of materials and adjust valuation when required
• Review monthly cost statement and journal entries
• Increase financial awareness and financial control across the business
• Identify areas of cost saving and improvement in efficiency.
• Assist in preparation of CAPEX applications

You must be a finalist/newly qualified accountant with recent/relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. You must have the ability to challenge senior leadership team, work autonomously and be keen to develop and diversify your skillset.
