A fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant has just arisen with a dynamic Television company in London. Working closely with the Financial Controller and the rest of the finance team, the position is varied and provides a good opportunity for development. The role will be looking after the accounts of several Television companies:
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing monthly journals and recharges
- Preparing monthly management accounts and reports
- Preparing monthly forecasts
- Monthly balance sheet, inter-company, control account reconciliations and fixed asset register
- HMRC reporting, such as annual Freelancer return, P11D's etc
- Assistance with audits
- Assistance with budgets
- Maintaining royalty payable and royalties receivable
- Cashflow forecasting
- Raising of miscellaneous sales invoices together with sales ledger credit control and review
- Reviewing and covering production accounts
- Ensure finance control procedures and policies
- Ad hoc reports and responsibilities for the Finacial Controller
Person Specification:
- Good understanding of double entry book keeping
- Be willing to perform the regular administrative elements of the role, focus on tasks and prioritise
- Be comfortable working in a fast moving, non-standard finance operation
- Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure whilst maintaining appropriate service levels
- Be a competent user of Excel
- Be able to accept delegated responsibility and exercise initiative and judgement
- Experience within the media industry and of production accounting is preferable
- Experience using SUN would be advantageous
